Stayed firm the whole flight to Denver

First time using one of these. Took about a minute of squeezing the corner to pump it up, which I didn't expect, but once it was firm it stayed that way for the whole flight to Denver. I let a bit of air out with the little button until it felt right. The case is nicer than I thought and the eye mask actually blocks light.

Four hours on the train and I forgot it was there

Bought this for the train up to my daughter's, four hours each way. I'm 68 and those seats are hard. It stayed put on the fabric seat and I forgot it was there. Rolling it back up took a couple of tries the first time, then it clicked. Fold in half first, then roll, like the little card says.

Good on the plane, great at my desk

Works as described. Comfortable on a 9 hour flight in coach, and it packs down small enough that I clipped the case to my carry-on. Four stars because pumping takes longer than I'd like and the deflate plug is a bit stiff. Would still buy it again. Using it at my desk now too.

Ordered the three pack for a girls' trip to Phoenix

All three of us used them on the plane and my sister asked where I got hers before we even landed. The earplugs were a nice bonus on the overnight leg. Everything zips back into the little bag so nothing gets lost.

I'd definitely recommend this. It's much more comfortable than the foam cushion I used before, and I can adjust the air with the inflate and deflate controls. It packs down into my carry-on easily, too. Really happy with it!

Made a hard chair comfortable

The price had me hesitating, but a detailed review persuaded me to try it. The instructions made sense to me: I opened the large valve, gave it three big breaths, then used the smaller opening to add a little firmness. It was ready in under ten seconds. Both adjustment buttons worked, and it felt comfortable on a hard chair. I'm 200 lbs and it held its pressure during my short test. I opened the large valve to empty it, rolled it on the table, folded it into thirds and got it back into the bag on the first attempt. I bought it for my husband's long flight because he has back and hip trouble. So far I'm really pleased, though I still need to test it for a longer stretch.

Price and a broken case cost it a star

I bought this for transpacific flights because those seats were hurting my tailbone. I'm 6'1" and 210 lbs. I preferred this design to one with gaps under the tailbone, though I didn't test that other design. Pumping took about five minutes, and adjusting the air while seated was easy. On a flight over 16 hours, I got up only two or three times. My legs and backside were sore afterward, but I avoided the severe tailbone pain and felt fine once I stood up. A later flight over 12 hours went better still. For short flights, setup might feel like a bother. My complaints are the price and the case: the fit was so tight that the zipper pull broke off while I was packing it away. It needs a bigger case and a sturdier zipper. Even so, I'd pay for the cushion again, provided it keeps working.

Skipped it on the nine-hour flight home

It was a little softer than the plane seat, but it didn't solve my problem. I'm short, and the extra height left my feet dangling more and put the tray table in an awkward position. After eight hours I still had the usual sore knees and numb, uncomfortable legs. I left it packed for the nine-hour trip back and returned it afterward. I'm going to try a footrest instead. It might suit someone whose main issue is their tailbone, but that isn't the discomfort I struggle with most.

These are my favorite cushions for avoiding a sore backside on long plane or car trips. I'd skip the cheaper imitations; in my experience they don't compare.

Not the right fit for me

My daughter ordered this for me; her husband flies constantly, so I was willing to give it a chance. I could maybe see using it behind my back on a long car ride. I didn't bring it to Amsterdam and was glad I left it home. I would have sent it back, but I let the 30-day return window pass.

The cushion did its job on my nine-hour overseas flight. Getting the air out and folding it small enough for the case was another matter. During travel, the zipper pull came off and the zipper split. The case needs more room and a tougher zipper. I think a replacement case should be provided.

A travel purchase that paid off

I took a chance on this for the 13-hour nonstop flight from the US to Australia. Hard airplane seats usually leave my legs hurting and set off my sciatica, but this flight was pain-free and I actually slept. I even arrived feeling adjusted to Australian time, which is unusual for me. Nobody paid me to say this; the experience was good enough that I wanted to share it.

Comfortable, but packing it away takes too long

Once inflated, it's fairly comfortable. Packing it away is what frustrates me. I spent a good five minutes working at the tiny deflate button, then rolling the cushion to push the remaining air out. Getting it into the bag was another struggle. Maybe practice would help, but that isn't what I want to deal with when we're getting off a plane. I may have to start packing it during descent. Still deciding whether to keep it.

It helped a bit, though it wasn't a huge change on my flight. Inflating it discreetly was easy, and letting the air out wasn't difficult either. Getting it into that little bag was. I also kept sliding around in my nylon pants. The SAS seat was already more comfortable than many, so I'll give the cushion another try on my next flight.

Now part of my flight routine

I've used it on two 13-hour flights and several three-hour ones, and I haven't had my usual back problems on the plane. It's been amazing for me. I can't see myself flying without it now.

Only a small improvement for me

I think the hype is overdone. On a six-hour flight, it was only a little better than sitting without it. I'll give it credit for compatibility and how easy it is to inflate and empty, but my back and backside weren't impressed. For reference, I'm 5'2" and 160 lbs.

Helpful once the firmness was dialed in

It made a real difference on two recent transcontinental flights of seven to eight hours each. Finding the right amount of air took some experimenting; roughly half full, maybe a little less, suited me. Fully inflated was uncomfortable. I tested it on a two-and-a-half-hour car ride before an upcoming nine-hour flight. It seems to hold its air, so I'm hopeful it will help. The bag, though, feels cheap. Its zipper broke the very first time I tried packing the cushion away, and now I have to find another way to carry it. A better-quality bag would make a big difference.

No hip pain after the Dublin flight

I was surprised by how well it worked on my ten-and-a-half-hour flight to Dublin. I got off without hip pain—that alone made it worth the price to me. I use this set daily even though it's meant for travel. The eye mask fits my head comfortably, doesn't pinch and blocks light really well for sleeping. Easy once I understood the valves

I worked it out fairly quickly and really like it. Opening the second valve below the one with the pin let me fill it in a couple of breaths, then I used the inflate pad to adjust the pressure. I don't fill it too much, since sitting on it makes it feel firmer. Opening the valve fully made deflating easy as well. Rolling it tightly enough for the case was harder, though I did manage it. It feels sturdy and the size seems right. I haven't taken it on my upcoming fifteen-hour coach flight yet, but I'm hopeful it'll help. I'd recommend it if you need a portable cushion.

Budget-seat comfort without an upgrade

I fly on a budget, and long international flights usually leave me desperate to get out of the seat. This has made them much easier. Inflation and deflation are straightforward once you understand the two plugs. It does need a tight roll to fit back in its case, but I haven't found that difficult. The little air pockets move slightly with me, which feels different from other cushions; I like it, and it seems to spread the pressure out. There's an eye mask included, though I don't use it. Good support, with some packing effort

I'm pleasantly surprised by this cushion. Four or five breaths filled it, even with my limitations. Getting the plug in before some air escaped took practice, but it still supported me well. I tried it on different chairs for several hours and found relief for my back and backside. The included eye mask has a comfortable shape and an adjustable fit. It seems a little bulky clipped to a travel bag, and stuffing it back into the pouch takes effort. I'd allow plenty of time before landing to pack it away; putting the eye mask in another bag was easier for me. For long periods of sitting, I think the support makes it worthwhile.

Comfort at home, with a packing concern

I have arthritis in my lower back and hips. After a couple of days using this, I feel better and find it really comfortable. It took a little experimenting with inflation to get the amount of air right. The cushion is big enough for me, lightweight, and stays put instead of sliding around. It feels sturdy and well made. I plan to use it in the car and on flights, but I worry about trying to squeeze it back into its case during the rush at the end of a flight. I'd plan a way to carry it off still inflated. I ordered it for my hard computer chair and apparently didn't read closely enough—I hadn't realized it needed inflating! I don't have a small air pump, so I'll try blowing it up myself, though reaching the valve looks awkward and I haven't worked out how to keep the air from escaping between breaths. Won me over on four budget-airline flights

One-month update: I really like it now! After four Frontier flights, I'd call the comfort five-star, even though my posted rating is four. Their seats have very little padding, and this made a big difference. The extra couple of inches in seat height also felt better for my legroom. Inflating it on the plane looks a bit nerdy, but it takes about ten seconds, so who cares? My original concerns haven't vanished: it's bulky even when empty and takes up a fair bit of my backpack. Getting it into the tiny bag is especially difficult. I initially thought I'd only use it for stadium bleachers, where it's comfortable and helps against the cold bench. Blowing it up and fine-tuning with the pump works well, though the pump needs a firm surface underneath. Deflating is easy. Despite the packing hassle, I've changed my mind about flying with it.

Gramps likes the support

We keep trying cushions for Gramps's wheelchair, and he really likes this one. He says it's as comfortable as his $300 cushion and gives his backside plenty of support. Figuring out inflation was frustrating at first. My separate pump didn't work, so I blew it up by mouth—then finally noticed the built-in inflate and deflate sections! Better instructions would have saved me some trouble. Once I understood it, I thought the design was clever. It packs away for travel and seems good value for the comfort he gets. I'd recommend it.

Comfortable enough, but pricey and slow to fill

I've flown a lot but don't usually bring a seat cushion. This one has some good points: it's light, comes with a carrying bag and a comfortable eye mask, and has a grippy backing. My wife and I both preferred sitting on it to the plain seat. The kids thought it looked too lumpy and wouldn't try it. Inflation wasn't obvious at first; repeatedly pressing the inflate cell took me a couple of minutes. Not terrible, but a bit awkward to imagine doing on a plane. At $80, I'm not convinced it's worth quite that much. It does help, but it hasn't been life-changing for me.

Couldn’t inflate it, but liked the eye mask

I wanted a cushion for working at my computer, but I haven't been able to inflate this one. I expected a separate inflation device after watching videos and couldn't find one or any instructions in the package. The small opening was difficult for me to use. The material looks durable, though I can't judge the comfort until it's inflated. The eye mask does block everything out; I'd use it to sleep at home, but that much blackout around strangers on a plane might not suit me. One side lost air almost immediately

I like the idea and the material, but inflating it was difficult. Air escaped quickly as I tried to replace the plug. Even after I got it filled and closed it promptly, one side went flat in less than a minute. Disappointing.

The carrying case is just too small

Being able to roll it into a case was one of the features I liked most. Unfortunately, that case is so tiny that squeezing the cushion back inside is a real struggle. I can't see that being practical when I'm trying to get off a flight.

Comfortable, but awkward for travel

The quality seems decent and it's fairly comfortable. Once set up, I can imagine it helping on a plane seat. Getting it ready is what bothers me. Blowing it up by mouth feels inconvenient, especially after the valve has been against an airplane seat. I'd want extra boarding time to deal with it. Packed in its case, it's still about the size of a cantaloupe, and getting it back in there isn't easy. I appreciate the case, but this doesn't feel very practical for travel to me.

Liked the soft cell and padded eye mask

It arrived nicely packed in a cute case. When I tried it at home, one of the cells had a soft filling that I really liked. I deal with nerve pain and back problems, so I may be more sensitive than most, but I think I'd prefer that squishy filling throughout instead of air. The eye mask is the same kind I already love: padded, with enough room to open my eyes while wearing it. That's especially nice when I have a headache.

Useful cushion with some awkward details

There's a lot I like: it feels sturdy, doesn't slide around and is comfortable to sit on. Inflation is the awkward part. The opening makes blowing air in easy, but I lose too much while trying to close it. I wished there were an easier way to keep it filled. The tight, hard zippered case feels less practical than a simple bag, and I don't really need the eye mask. I can see it being useful for long drives, but I'm less convinced by the airline-travel setup. Better inflation and more useful accessories, perhaps a small window-rest cushion, would make it much more convenient.

Easy to carry, needs the right air level

It's light, packs into my carry-on and is easy to inflate and empty. Once filled, it feels sturdy and has held its air during use. I like the extra padding without too much bulk. It could be handy for planes, cars or stadium seats. I'd experiment with the amount of air, though—I sometimes find myself rolling off the side. Still a useful comfort boost to take along.

Manual inflation wasn’t what I expected

I found the advertising misleading. Having to blow it up myself in an airport? No thanks.

Difficult to inflate and not worth the price

Inflation was the biggest problem for me. My portable electric pump couldn't keep enough pressure against the valve to fill it properly. I switched to a hand pump and spent more than ten minutes figuring it out. It took much more force than I expected, and even afterward the cells still felt quite soft—more like 70% full than 90%. The cushion itself is only okay. The polyester feels rough and cheap to me, and it isn't especially plush to sit on. At $70, I expected a premium feel. I'd only consider it at $20 or less.

Slight comfort improvement, too much noise

After a few days, it felt only a little better than my office-chair cushion and didn't really help my back pain. Blowing air in was easy enough, but reaching the tube was difficult and letting the air out was awkward too. It was also surprisingly loud. My friends could hear it during a call and found it annoying, even with my setup filtering background noise. Just okay for comfort.

It arrived today and I'm really happy with it! Just remember to pull the plug out when you want to let the air out.

Too stiff and lumpy

I have neuropathy, so sitting in one place can get very painful and I'm always trying cushions. This one just wasn't comfortable for me. Instead of softness, it felt like sitting on a raised, stiff, lumpy seat. Sorry, but that was my experience.

Helped in the car, difficult to adjust and pack

Once I had it inflated, I couldn't get the buttons to adjust it while I was sitting on it. It did help during a three-day car trip, but packing it away was another story. Even with the air out and everything rolled tightly, I couldn't get it back in the case. The videos make that look much easier! I have a six-hour flight coming up and hope the comfort will be worth the trouble.

Hot and uncomfortable on the Germany flight

I just used it on a nine-and-a-half-hour flight from the US to Germany. It didn't help my back at all—I was actually less comfortable sitting on it, and it felt hot. A waste of money for me. I'm sending it back.

Didn’t feel any cushioning

I don't understand the praise for it. I could barely tell it was there and got no cushioning benefit at all. A total waste of money for me—I'd look for something else.

Had to put it away after seven hours

I really wanted this to work, but it caused almost unbearable pain for me. After about seven hours, I let the air out and put it away. The pain eased once I stopped using it. Disappointed.

Two attempts, still couldn’t get on with it

I was excited when it arrived, but there were no instructions and I couldn't work out how to inflate it or get it back in the pouch. I wondered if I'd received a used one and requested a replacement. The second one was the same: no instructions, no pump that I could find to help, and I couldn't fold it away. It wasn't nearly as easy as it looked to me. I ended up returning that one too—I've never had to do that twice with a purchase before.

Defective arrival and a frustrating replacement request

Mine arrived defective. After lots of messages back and forth, I still haven't received a replacement. They want videos and documentation, but I can't get those sent through their website. Based on that experience, I wouldn't buy from this company again.

Created uncomfortable pressure points

I tried different amounts of air and still found it extremely uncomfortable. It created pressure points, and I couldn't sit on it for more than a few minutes. I don't understand the hype—this was a complete miss for me.

Felt worse after the trip

I took it on an international trip and inflated and adjusted it as directed. It didn't help at all. I actually felt worse when I arrived.

No relief after four tries

I've used it four times now, changing the air level each time, and still haven't had any relief. My husband has had the same result. We missed the return window; otherwise, I'd have sent them back.

One worked, one failed, and no warranty resolution

I bought two directly from the seller in November 2025 with a one-year warranty. We first used them on an eight-hour flight in April 2026. One worked well and kept my backside from getting sore. The other started deflating straight away and was useless. I contacted the seller and sent the information and short video they requested. Ruby said it would be escalated and I'd hear back in two or three days. A week later, I still had no update or response. I wouldn't recommend buying from them when the warranty hasn't been honored.

No instructions and no luck inflating it

For such an expensive cushion, getting ZERO instructions was frustrating. I looked up how to inflate it and still couldn't make it work. A shopping assistant suggested that defective units can fail to inflate, though I don't know whether that was my problem or user error. Either way, I can't imagine wrestling with this in a cramped airplane seat. I'd choose a basic cushion with a pump instead. A huge waste of time for me.

Returned both cushions

I couldn't get enough air into them to feel a difference. Then, while I was trying to empty them, the whole nozzle came out. I couldn't fit them back in their pouches either. Both went back.

Painful for my tailbone

I bought it for a flight of more than twenty hours from the US, but it was actually painful on my tailbone. I wouldn't recommend it at all.

Returning it after struggling with the valve

That valve is so stiff—how is anyone meant to blow into it? Really disappointed. I'm returning it tomorrow.

It feels like a cheaply made inflatable cushion to me. It added nothing to the comfort—in fact, I preferred the airplane seat without it.

Liked everything except the air loss

The fabric, size and comfort were all great once I filled it, and I liked having a travel bag. But it wouldn't keep the air in. That one problem spoiled everything and is why I gave it only one star. It couldn't do what I needed.

Flat after about ten minutes

A big disappointment at $79. There were no instructions, so I had to work out the corner pump cell and separate deflation valve by trial and error. Even once I'd figured it out and checked that the valve was closed, it wouldn't hold air. After about ten minutes sitting on it, it was completely flat. I wouldn't recommend it or buy it again.

Couldn’t work out how to use it

Nothing like I expected! It arrived flat and wrinkled, apart from one cell, with ZERO instructions and no separate pump. I couldn't work out which valve to use, how to reach it, what pump would fit or how much air to add. One valve seemed hidden by the cushion itself and another looked like a beach-ball valve. There wasn't even a manufacturer's name I could use to contact customer service. At this price, it's incredibly frustrating to end up with something I can't use.

Difficult setup without a comfort payoff

No instructions came with it, so I had to find a video. Pulling out the tube was awkward, and the two plugs in one opening confused me. Once inflated, it wasn't comfortable, even after I changed the air level. I eventually got it rolled back into the case, but it felt nearly impossible. I can't imagine dealing with all that on a plane or at a ballgame. Not for me.
